1. Warranty Coverage

1.1 Standard Warranty Period

12 months from the date of installation for all iTracker GPS tracking devices.

1.2 What is Covered

iTracker warrants that the GPS tracking device will be:

  • Free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
  • Functional for its intended purpose under normal usage conditions

Covered Issues:

  • Device fails to power on or operate
  • GPS signal failure due to hardware defect
  • Internal component malfunction
  • Software errors not caused by user actions
  • Connectivity issues caused by device hardware

1.3 What is NOT Covered

Physical Damage: Cracks, dents, impact damage, water damage, fire damage
Tampering: Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or disassembly
Misuse: Improper installation, abuse, negligence, or incorrect usage
External Factors: Vehicle electrical issues, power surges, lightning damage
Wear and Tear: Normal degradation over time

Excluded Components:

  • Battery (after 6 months of normal wear)
  • Relay and connecting cables
  • SIM card (covered separately by network provider)
  • External accessories

Unauthorized Installation: Warranty is VOID if installed by non-iTracker personnel

2. Warranty Service

2.1 Free Repair or Replacement

If a manufacturing defect occurs during the warranty period:

  • Repair: Free repair at iTracker service center (5-10 business days)
  • Replacement: Free replacement device if repair is not possible
  • Refund: Full device refund only if replacement is unavailable (rare cases)

2.2 Carry-In Warranty

This is a carry-in warranty. You must:

  • Bring the vehicle to our service center or authorized dealer
  • Transportation and towing costs are your responsibility
  • On-site warranty service is not available

3. How to Claim Warranty

  • Device serial number
  • Installation date
  • Description of the problem
  • Photos/videos of the issue (if applicable)

Step 2: Get Authorization

  • Our team will verify warranty eligibility (1-2 business days)
  • You’ll receive a warranty claim authorization number

Step 3: Bring Vehicle to Service Center

Step 4: Device Inspection

  • Technician will diagnose the issue
  • If covered: Free repair/replacement
  • If not covered: Paid repair options provided

Step 5: Repair/Replacement

  • Turnaround Time: 5-10 business days
  • You’ll be notified when ready for pickup
  • Re-installation included free of charge

 

4. Warranty Conditions

4.1 Required for Warranty Validity

✓ Device installed by iTracker-authorized engineer only
✓ Original purchase receipt or invoice
✓ Device has not been tampered with or modified
✓ Warranty claim made before warranty expiration
✓ Defect reported within 7 days of occurrence

4.2 Warranty Void If:

❌ Installed by unauthorized person
❌ Device seal broken or tampered
❌ Unauthorized repairs attempted
❌ Physical or water damage
❌ Used in unauthorized manner
❌ SIM card removed or replaced

 

5. Limitations

5.1 Warranty Scope

This warranty is limited to device repair or replacement only. iTracker is NOT liable for:

  • Loss of vehicle tracking data
  • Lost business or profits due to device failure
  • Costs of vehicle towing or transportation
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Vehicle downtime or rental costs
  • Any amount exceeding the original device purchase price

5.2 No Other Warranties

All other warranties (express or implied) are excluded, including:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties from verbal statements by sales staff

Exception: Your statutory consumer rights under Bangladesh law remain unaffected.

6. Dead on Arrival (DOA)

If the device is defective immediately after installation:

Report Within: 48 hours of installation
Resolution: Immediate free replacement (no questions asked)
Timeline: 3-5 business days for replacement device

7. Extended Warranty (Optional)

Available for purchase at time of device purchase:

  • Extended Warranty: Additional 12 months (total 24 months coverage)
  • Cost: Contact sales team for pricing
  • Benefits: Same coverage as standard warranty for extra year

8. Out-of-Warranty Service

After the 12-month warranty expires:

Paid Repair Service Available:

  • Diagnostic fee: BDT 500
  • Repair charges based on issue
  • Replacement parts at cost
  • Labor charges apply

Device Upgrade Option:

  • Trade-in old device for discount on new device
  • Contact sales for upgrade offers

 

9. Important Notes

Vehicle Manufacturer Warranty

IMPORTANT: Installation of iTracker device does not affect your vehicle manufacturer’s warranty. However:

  • iTracker is NOT responsible if vehicle manufacturer claims otherwise
  • Any dispute with vehicle manufacturer is between you and the manufacturer
  • We recommend informing your vehicle dealer before installation

Service Credits

For extended service outages (more than 7 consecutive days) due to device failure:

  • Prorated subscription credit may be applied
  • Subject to verification and approval
